And after six days, Jesus took along Peter, and Jacob and John and he took them into the high mountain, alone, and he was changed before them.

And his clothes became shining, very white, more than any launderer on earth could whiten.

And when Elijah and Moses appeared to them, they talked with Jesus,

And Peter spoke up, saying to Jesus: ‘Rabbi, it is good that we are here, and let’s make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

For he did not know what to say, for they had become afraid.

Then a cloud came, overshadowing them, and then a voice came from the cloud. ‘This is my Son, whom I love, listen to him.’

And suddenly looking around, they saw no-one with them but only Jesus.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
stay beside me to defend me,
within me to guide me,
before me to lead me,
and above me to bless me,
that with you and in you,
I may live, and move and have my being,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

  1. The prayers are so well said. I would love to learn how to pray likewise in my private prayers. Maybe you can suggest a book of prayers to me I could buy?
    Best wishes
