Then Peter stood up
with the eleven
and raised his voice
and spoke to them:
‘Fellow Judeans
and all who are settled in Jerusalem,
let this be known to you
and pay attention to my words,
For do not suppose these folk are drunk,
for it is the third hour of the day1.
But it is what was said
through the prophet Joel:
And in the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh
and your sons will prophesy and your daughters.
and your young men will see visions.
And surely upon my male servants and female servants
in those days
I will pour out my Spirit
and they will prophesy.
and I will give wonders in the sky above,
and signs on the earth below
blood and fire and clouds of smoke
The Sun will be changed to darkness
and the Moon to blood
before the great and and glorious of Day of the Lord comes.
and it will be that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord
will be saved.
