1 Corinthians 15 50-53

So, I affirm (all) this, brothers/ sisters:
(i.e. )
Flesh and blood cannot receive the kingdom of God.
no r does what wear out inherit what cannot wear out.

Look –
a mystery I am telling you.
We will not all die
but (we) all will be changed
– in a moment,
in the blink of an eye
at the last trumpet,
for (the trumpet) will sound
and the dead people will be raised enduring
and we shall be changed.

For it is necessary that this (body) which wears out
be clothed with what cannot wear out
and this (body) that dies
puts on what never dies…

God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.
