For I received from the Lord
also what I handed over to you,
that the Lord Jesus
on that night on which he was being handed over
took bread,
and when he had given thanks
he broke it
and said
This is my body
which is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup
after the supper, saying
This cup is the new covenant
in my blood
do this
whenever you drink
in remembrance of me
For as many times as you eat this bread and drink this cup
you proclaim the death of the Lord
until when he comes.
Eternal God and Father,
you create us by your power,
and redeem us by your love,
guide and strengthen us by your Spirit,
that we may give ourselves in love and service
to one another and to you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
