  • Colossians 3 12-17

    So put on
    as chosen people of God,
    holy and beloved,
    ‘hearts’ of compassion
    kindness
    humility
    gentleness
    patience
    be tolerant with one another,
    forgive each other
    if someone has a complaint
    against someone else.
    Just as the Lord has forgiven you,
    so you also (should forgive).
    In addition to all these things
    (put on) love,
    which is the bond,
    that (produces) perfection.
    And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
    into which indeed you have been called
    in one body;
    And be thankful.

    Let the Word of Christ dwell in you all richly,
    with all wisdom
    as you teach
    and instruct each other,
    as you sing psalms, hymns, Spiritual songs
    with grace
    in your hearts
    to God.
    And whatever you are doing,
    -whether a word or a work
    (do) all things in the name of the Lord Jesus,
    as you give thanks to God the Father,
    through him.

    Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
    where there is injury, pardon;
    where there is discord, union,
    where there is doubt, faith;
    where there is despair, hope;
    where there is darkness, light;
    and where there is sadness, joy.

    For your mercy and your truth’s sake

    Amen.
