And even if our gospel is veiled
it is veiled to those who are perishing
among whom
the god of this age has blinded
the minds of the ‘rejecting-faith’ ones,
so that they cannot see the
light of the gospel of the glory of Christ
who is the image of God.
For we do not proclaim ourselves
but Jesus Christ as Lord
and ourselves your slaves on account of Jesus
For God, who said
‘From darkness light will shine’
has shone in our hearts
the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus Christ.
Eternal God and Father,
you create us by your power,
and redeem us by your love,
guide and strengthen us by your Spirit,
that we may give ourselves in love and service
to one another and to you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
