But if the ministry of death
carved in letters of stone
was with glory,
so that the children of Israel were not able to
look intently at the face of Moses
because of the glory of his face,
(which was fading away)
how will the ministry of the Spirit
not be more glorious?
For if the ministry
of condemnation
(had) glory,
the ministry of righteousness
will abound with much more glory.
Indeed
what has been glorified (i.e. the ministry of death)
has not been glorified –
in this matter
by the surpassing glory.
Eternal Light, shine into our hearts;
Eternal Goodness, deliver us from evil;
Eternal Power, be our support;
Eternal Wisdom, scatter the darkness of our ignorance:
That we may seek your face
with all our heart and mind and soul and strength. Amen.
