Having purified your souls
by obedience to the truth
constantly love one another
for sincere sibling love
from a pure heart,
having not been born
from a perishable seed
but from an imperishable (one)
through the living
and enduring word,
because
All flesh is from grass,
and all its glory is as the flower of grass–
The grass withers
and the flower falls off,
but the word of the Lord remains for ever.
This is the word that was proclaimed
for your sake.
O Lord
Open our eyes to your presence
Open our minds to your grace
Open our lips to your praises
Open our hearts to your love
Open our lives to your healing
And be found among us.
